So Whatcha Reading?

**You are being warned: Lots of Pics ahead!**

Waaaaaay back during the summer time I took advantage of Knit Picks' 40% off book sale (which in all actuality is about the same prices at a.mazon.com) and ended up dropping some books in my virtual cart.Great additions to my library!

EZ Knitter's Almanac (got it mainly for the FBJ pattern), Interweave Favorite Socks (b/c I really am going to knit some more one day! LOL), Knit Fix (LUV this reference book), EZ Knitting without Tears (ole sage!), Debbie Bliss Quick Baby Knits (cute book).

I also have been meaning to get this book for awhile nowand since I needed a pattern out of it for a baby knit (I really need to get crankin' on making that too!), I went ahead and got this long overdue book.

I found it over at my lovely Destash Store (fyi - not really a store) a few weeks ago for only $9 bucks!

My knitting library is growing pretty quickly and I can't control it! LOL Which is really funny because I remember when I was new to knitting I didn't see a reason to waste good money on knitting books! HA!

Well since I don't believe that anymore I noticed a few books that just came out (and want):

some books on my wishlist:
and books coming soon, that I can't wait to see!!
What books do you have are on your lists?

I've totally been eyeing Knitting New Scarves, too. I just got the new Cat Bordhi last night, and it's even more exciting than I anticipated. My sock knitting mojo is like overflowing and leaking onto the floor! Perusing new knitting books is one of the only things I'll miss about working at the library.. I guess I'll just have to buy them now :-D

Thanks so much for the comment on the Rosebud hat. But most of all, thanks for the tip on purchasing the $9 "One Skein" book!! I want this book, but couldn't justify spending any money on it - - but nine dollars?? That's no money! Impressive book list.....

Haha... I was just telling Mugsy that we need a knitting bookshelf. See... Right now, the knitting books are encroaching on his space in the great room, so he cares, he really does.

There are some great books on that list! Knitting Classic Style isn't on my wish list yet, but it's going on there now! I keep being reminded of it! The two on my list which I will probably head to first are Victorian Lace Today and Bag Style.

I'll probably end up with "Knitting new scarves" as well - the projects look so interesting, and I love scarves! Sensual knits looks good as well, and I'm looking forward to "Yarnplay in the home" as well as so many others that I can't remember anymore. I resisted that Knitpicks sale, but you got some great books!

That big Vogue Knitting reference book is awesome! I use mine a lot, especially for finishing techniques. And the handy book of sweater patterns is also great.

I would love to get that Knitting in America book...I like to read about knitting almost as much as I love doing it.

You sure have a definite love for knitting. No question about that.

The book that I look forward to reading is Playing for Pizza written by John Grisham.

But first I have to finish reading another book of Grisham - The Partner.

I just bought 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders at BAM the other night. It's really nice actually! lots of good stuff in there that I want to knit.

I have that Vogue-Quick reference guide. I'll sell it to you for 50% off the cover price if you're interested.

I was almost late for work one day because I stopped off at Barnes and Noble to see if they had Wrap Style in stock. I started looking at the knitting and lost track of time. I looked at my watch and saw that it was 10 minutes til 7.....

Books on my wishlist: Wrap Style, Knit Fix, The New Sock Pathways, Socks Socks Socks, Victorian Lace Today, A Gathering of Lace

OooOoo...good books. I just picked up a copy of Favorite Socks at a knit shop. It's so good!! I also picked up Kaffe Knits Again while there. There are several things I would never knit in it, but the afghans and designs are beautiful, and the colors throughout the book are just so nice to gaze at. definitely a splurge and I'm not sure when I'll knit anything from it!

Hmm...books on my list. I'd say Best of Interweave, Sensational Socks and More Sensational Socks, The Book of Yarn, the book about lingerie knitting which i think is called Sexy Little Knits or some such, and I'm curious about the Natural Knitter book.
