I must say I've been dreaming of what color I want to knit up Silver Belle (SB). Of course I was thinking RED....but I really can't knit up everything in red! LOL

Well my co-hostess Liz at the Silver Belle KAL needs some help in selecting a color for her SB too!
So she has a blog contest going on! Go over there and help her out by picking a color!
And help me out too by letting me know what color you think would look great for me as well! :op You can post your thoughts here in my comments with the ball #s or one that is not an option on there!

I have two colors in mind but would love to hear what y'all would recommend! :o)

Yep, I thought it would be best to venture out in the color spectrum to something else that doesn't involve red Haha :oD
Remember this is a big project for me (so I gotta like the color haha) and it's a nice size cardi to wear so think about what would look good on me for the winter!
You can get an idea about how the other colors are knitting up by looking at some of the SBs on the KAL!
Psst....how about there is a French Silver Belle KAL now too!! Check us both out!!

I'm a big fan of plum and rust, but for this project, probably just one or the other. I can't wait to see it finished. Looks yummy!

I think it would look great in a soft green or lilac, but that mustard yellow comment has me intrigued!

i like number 7 on her choices and maybe a purple or turquoise(not to dark so the cables and sts show nicely) would be a good color for you.

#6 - the dark purple. Cause if it was me it would be pink or purple...and I know you like the purples too. :)

If we're going by Liz's colors, I would pick #6 or #4 for you. I'm sure you've been drooling over her purply shades! But that blue would be a nice addition for you too. And it's unique enough that it would look good with jeans and with slacks for work. Good luck with picking a color!

Honey, that is easy peasy! Same color I want (crave, lust after, oogle, etc) for myself

    REDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

Debbie Bliss Cashmerino #610! Crap, I even know that my heart! Woe is me, woe is me. And, double crap, I just checked at Webs, they only have 28 balls of that color left.

    ACK!

Can't wait to see what color you begin with.

How about a deep red color (Crimson?) or some plummy color. You are one of the Belles, Stacey. So go with what you like the best!

Stacey, I think number 3 and 11 would look great on you, or that hot pink you sent me!

But then again, why not go for red?

You love it, it suits you and there are so many shades of it, there's one you haven't knitted anything in yet, surely!!

You know me...I'm always for a PINK!! But seriously my vote is for #5, the wine/plum color would look fanstatic on you! Its a great fall/winter color that will always be in style. The only drawback is it may not show off the detail of the SB as much. However, the Silver is the perfect color 1) is the new Black for fall/winter, 2) its the right shade for displaying the cable detailing!

I would like to see you in #1 with #10 a very close second (could my choices be any more different color & tone wise?!)

    Pink and/or Green? LOL

    I say a soft plum....

i'mma go with Chartuse (sp...kind of like her #7) for you. i think it would be pretty against your skin tone. and its so far away from red. i myself would go for pink. that also would look good on you.
this pattern is really cute on other folks on the KAL blog but i would never want to try it had i not looked at the blog cause it looks horrible on the Vogue model!
it looks difficult with all those different stitches. i have yet to try something like this or knit anything bigger than a baby sweater...besides a boring baby blanket. this looks like it would keep me on my toes! can't wait to see what you pick.

I like 1,4,7,10,15& 16 for you. Some of the colors like plum might be a bit dark and with the cables, you need the color just light enough so that you can see all the beautiful cables and texture work you will be putting into the sweater. I think pink would look beautiful on your skin, as well as the teal #15. All of the other colors would also look good. I think the pastel colors will look nice, but more jewel tones will pop on you. Just depends on what you want.

What a challenge! I love the pattern and have to agree that red sure would look marvelous on you!

Have you thought of maybe a cream color? To me this shouldn't be about the color, as the cables and design of it will be the star!

My first color choice was red, lol, but since you want to switch it up...how about a nice deep orange?

On Ravelry, there's a lovely lilac... Personally, I'm thinking a blue of some sort, a medium blue, maybe with tealish tints?

I say 6, 11 or 16 for your color choices if you want to walk away from red. I get lots of compliments when I wear these colors. They are vibrant and I believe you will look good in them too. It would also show the details very well too. Great project!
