My Knitting Matrix

Welcome to my Knitting Matrix! :o)

It seems as if I am doing "some" knitting and getting much of nothing completed! LOL ;op

I have been "doing" these charity hats since last...ur um July....can I please get them done before it warms up? Haha!

I also have put Ms. Marigold on "temporary" hold. She is going really well

Unfortunately, this was my last WIP pic I took of her eons ago...the entire body is actually done. I still need to pick-up the neckline (yes...sadly my KA kicked in on me) and then she will be all completed! Sigh

So to avoid my KA issues I swatched and casted on for the Back to School Vest, Ms. Rho she will be called from now on ;o) I actually have about 2 inches on the body ribbing and many more miles to go! But figured I would complete Ms. Rho 1st since she is made out of wool, and Ms. Marigold is out of silky tweed which is much lighter for spring weather; so she can be put on hold without hurting anything.

And I was all excited about my new companion for my 1st pair of gloves but...that little ball of yarn is not going to squeeze out 22 inches for me.....mmmmh....
So I had to get some more yarn from my Canadian p.usher and I will have to cool my heels until next week when I can get it in the mail.

Which is fine since I am "supposed" to be working on those charity hats, a long overdue baby gift, and some slippers for a KAL ;op

It seems I need to get my act together over here! Everything is going in slow motion!

I have actually for some time now been wanting to slow down on my blogstalking of others and my own blogging so I can get back to why I got on here in the first place, which is because of knitting!

Sometimes when I sit back and think about all the time I have spent on the computer that could have been done knitting and how many projects I could have had completed! My goodness!

Blogging is so addictive! And I really do enjoy it! :o) But I need to slow it down a bit so I can spend more time on other important things as well.

So it looks like I will have my own 'blogging' matrix going on by going in slow motion on here, and hopefully picking up some momentum on my knitting to have more to share with y'all!

Lets see how long this will last! ;o)

Until next blog time! Be Well!

To get over your KA, there's a nice tutorial for picking up stitches in a very clean, evenly spaced way. http://www.knittingpureandsimple.com/faq.html
My picked up stitches are looking better and better!

Oh I forgot to say you have to scroll down on that link, the pictures of the tutorial are the last item in the FAQ.

I agree, sometimes blogging and internet-knitting stuff takes up more time than actual knitting. :o( I try to keep my blog reading pared down!

otherwise I start to feel like I have blog homework to catch up on...no fun. :(

You know I agree and need to do the same thing. I also need to put down the needles and computer and spend a little more time with Honey. But then again there are also a few tings on a list of things I need to (would like to - no, need to) blog about first. Better get to it huh?

You are so right about spending too much time on the pc, it takes me so long just to write one post..:)

I love Marigold and picking up stitches isn't hard at all once you have done it one time. Can't wait to see her done.

It was nice getting to knit with you last night at the Cottage! Thanks for inviting me!

It so funny how we are opposites. I want to blog more of course. I would be happy with updating three times a week. Nothing major really happens with me anyway! LOL!

Good Luck with Ms. Marigold. I can't wait to see the finished project!

So much beautiful knitting happening at your house.

I blog surf at work and knit at home. At least, that's the plan. Unfortunately, I end up blogging and surfing at home too, hence, knitting less.

You are definitely telling the truth. That is why it took my full vacation to finish my jacket and my sweater. I spent 75% of my time reading blogs and surfing Ravelry.lolol Now I am going to put myself on a computer diet. lololol

I know, it's so hard! Because knit blogs are just so interesting. But I tell myself the same thing. It doesn't help that I work on the computer so it's always right there for me.

I work on the computer... so I'm constantly Alt+Tabbing between projects and blog sites...lol. The Back to School vest is too cute... need to add it to my knit list.

I know what you mean about getting stuck on blogs and blogstalking! It seems like I only mean to check out one thing.... or reply to a comment..... and I am on the computer surfing and typing away when I wanted to be knitting!! LOL

Great projects, hope all goes well!

The thing is it's easy when you pick up stiches after you do it once or twice! Plus really if you don't like it it's easy to pull out and start again!

I too sometimes say to myself OK only like 15 minutes on the computer and then back to the knitting. Next thing I know like an hour has gone by! OH well!!

You can't deny your fans and blog any less! But I do understand the "where did that hour go!" syndrome!

All your UFOs look great! Just think of it this way: even though you're not finishing anything right now and just parading WIPs on your blog, a time will come when you'll have a bunch of FOs at once!

I've thought the same thing about the computer! The online knitting community is just as addictive as knitting, it seems!

I'm right there with you. Which is why I haven't updated my blog. Just no time. We will be here waiting. Happy Knitting (:-)

sometimes I make myself do something I'm avoiding for 10-15 mins (5?). Even if it means dropping the dreaded task mid-stream. Then I can do whatever it is I really want to do. You can do anything for 5-10 minutes, right? This approach has gotten me through a lot of KA and other stuff too.

There are some very cute things in that sensual Knits book. from the very first page. I think that, based on the types of things I've seen you make, that you would love it.

Did you know that Saunielle has two cute dress patterns there? I thought that maybe you read her blog too. If not, it's saunshine.blogspot.com

What's that yummy yarn in the taupe colour that you're knitting baby hats out of? Like it! Yes, I'm still plodding along on my 'Belle' and yes, it really does take that long. The cables are fun to do, but time consuming ... not at all like the speedy stocking stitch :)... and yes, I'm using a cable needle which can be found most evenings, clamped between my front teeth! I'm down to blogging 1/week as I found I was spending too much time reading and not much else was getting done around here ... although I love to catch up with what everyone is doing!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Can't wait to see your FOs. I love the yarn in the last photo. Where'd you find it?

I know! I totally hear you, my friend! Even about the KA! LOL! (Although I do think that Ava has some wise advice to help you there!)

And *sighs dramatically* I was coming here to see if you shared some info regarding that lovely Malabrigo you bought.

    Hugs!
