Well, you know I'm on a chemo cap kick right now. They're quick, great for trying out that new yarn, and it's a great feeling to know that my "swatch" is going to make someone else's day a little better too.

I just did one toy (same pattern has an elephant variation too), but can't say I enjoyed it. If I try another toy, I'll try crochet.

I already posted to that blog so you have probably seen my response.

I haven't done any charity projects but I am up to doing one.

I don't watch that program and I can't say I have ever heard of it.

It's been some time since I participated in a charity. But the one I did participate in was making items for Survivors of spousal abuse.

Mmmm, I've never heard of Paradise Hotel... Dynasty comes to mind though.

I've made some hats, mittens and 1 cat blanket for charity knitting. I'd like to get into the habit of doing this more often...I like being able to help others :)

I knit chemo caps for my sister when she was sick, and some baby things over the years for local hospitals. Lately I am obsessed with Warm Woolies (warmwolies.org) and am knitting madly for them and encouraging others around me to as well. Ideally I'd like some kind of running tab of Ravelers, students and friends who contribute a knitted item to Warm Woolies between now and Thursday July 31st. I wonder if I could do it as a post-dated blog entry...hey...wait a minute....

My LYS is sponsoring a knit challenge: Who can knit more preemie hats, Alabama fans or Auburn fans? Those little hats are fun to knit!

I've always like chemo hat knitting -- it's quick and I can try out some yarns in a small quantity.

I also like knitting mats for the Denver Dumb Friends League (not to be confused with the Denver Dumb Men's League) so the kitties have a place to sleep.

I've actually donated to cancer caps. I was really touched when I received a Thank You letter. It was very rewarding. I also will be donating my reversible baby quilt to charity as well. I couldn't believe it the other day when DD who is beggining knitter said she was making a scarf and wants to donate it to charity.
