Rip Rip Ripplin'

It UP over here!!

Well I started out with the traditional granny square in crocheting, so why not continue with the Ripple!! :o) However this is not the traditional ripple, but a round one! That is what attracted me to this pattern. Didn't want to do the back and forth, but was interested enough to want to ripple!

This project is not going as fast as I would like since I am using a smaller hook, and really have to pay attention to which hole I need to be in But figured it would be faster to crochet, rather than knit, this baby blanket up for a shower at the end of this month. I hope they like it!!

I wonder if I will remember how to knit after all of this hookin' ;op Haha!

Great idea. Crocheting is way quicker than knitting. That is one of the things i like about it.
I like the colors you are using. Lucky baby :)
No Fear you still have the knitting in you :) but it's nice to have another craft to turn too once in awhile.

The blanket is coming along nicely and you are defintely hooked. You won't forget your knitting skills, but crocheting blankets are so much easier than knitting.

Very nice :) I prefer crocheting baby blankets because then the blanket is reversible.

I love your choice of colors! I usually love any color combination for babies that has chocolate brown in it. Very nice and I can't wait to see the finished product.

That's so pretty! I love the colors you chose.

This post is a reminder that I have to get an ergonomic crochet hook set. How are you liking yours?

to say that you've caught the crochet bug is to put it mildly.

i can't crochet that often anymore. it hurts my hand ALOT. i can knit for hours on end (as you well know!), but if i have to crochet something for longer than a half hour, i'm in PAIN!

    have fun with the hookin!

I love it - it's beautiful! What is it about crocheting that makes us want to use "economical" yarn? (I mean that in the nicest way of course - for me, I love the wide range of color choices in the budget acrylics)

Looks great - love the colors you chose. That is a really intricate stitch pattern too. I feel like I always have to watch what I'm doing when I'm crocheting, whereas I only have to pay attention with knitting if I'm doing something more complicated like colorwork or lace.

I had to come out of lurk to say I love the fact that you're crocheting! LOL I started out as a crocheter...I have a minute attention span so it works better for me than knitting...all I can seem to knit are hats. LOL

Love the colors you picked...the round ripple is a favorite of mine!
