Purl Jam 08!

I went to my 1st knitting conference!! :o) P.url J.am was a whirlwind and jammed pack! (Hee hee a pun!)

Therefore, you know the pictures will be too! I downloaded 167 pics and 3 videos! Of course there is no way I could share them all but below are plenty to get a brief peek along with a couple of slide shows too.

Gina was the brain child and organizer of this inaugural conference.

I heard about this retreat on R.avelry of course! Gina is also a LYS owner of Mosaic Shop in B.lacksburg, VA.

Yep I was in Hokieland!

My gurl Wendy (blogless) and I went together and had a great time!

We arrived just in time for the kick-off meet & greet and the 1st instructor I was able to M&G was

Yep! B.rooklyn T.weed himself! It took me a minute to not call him that, but by his real name! Haha!

Then made my way to meet A.nnie M.odesitt
And C.ornelia T.uttle H.amilton too

Before I could get too "knitter star struck" we had to indulge in our happy hour ;o)Those were not all for me! Just 3 of them! Haha!People were sippin' and knittin'

And trying to act civilized! Haha! But I was feeling really good after drink #2 ;op

I was trying to cram in my homework square in by the AM. And remembered how you really shouldn't drink while knitting! lol

The next day we jumped in with both feet in starting our classes, meeting new people and yarn overload!

Here is a look at how the display/dining room area looked

Of course we were able to make it to the yarn shop!It was so cute!

The class options were great and I wish I could take them all! Here is a glimpse of what some of them were like

Later on Friday night we had a Pajama Party! A knitting one of course! :o)

Did I mention there was also an abundance of smooth wine there being shared!? ;o)

There I go again! ;op So I was thrilled to finally get that very old hibernated project off my needles over the weekend....but not that night though! Haha!

Also made some great Purl Jam friends too!

On the last night the yarn shop had a book signing and dessert for the instructorsIt was nice to see them all together P.url J.am was a great introduction of knitting conferences for me! So glad I went!
