First off, let me just say that daylight saving is already jacking up my photo opportunities! LOL

Since I have yet to come full circle in reaching a year of blogging, this daylight saving time is going to kill me!
'Wake up and it is dark', 'come home and it is dark'. When the heck am I going to take pictures!?! Shoot! :op

Looks like a lot of my pics will be taken over the weekend, or maybe trying a home made "light box" thing I have been made privy to now (some white styrofoam and lights for knitting objects/yarn p0rn pics)

Well with all that being said, I tried to beat the setting of the sun last night to take pics.

Everyone has been posting pics of their lovely Harmony needles. And I got mine in as well (have yet to knit with them though. I have the US1-3 for now).

So instead of showing more pics of the knitting needles. I am going to show you the Harmony cable needles!! Yep they make these too!
All is now right in my cable knitting world! :oD They have come to me just in the knick of time to do some cabling (my quest for fall/winter), especially on that major Silver Belle project. I will be workin' it out!

I really like the Harmony needles and give them a thumbs up along with the majority of the reviews that are everywhere. I am slightly disappointed that the colors are not "poppin" out at me more, but they are still cool!! :oD

Well last night was another knit group I attend from time to time that meet up at Books.A.Million(BAM). *Waves* Heeeeeeyy BAM!!! :oD

We were being real silly!

I saw them first over at Superstarra's blog (great knitter by the way, AND she has a special visitor over there too ;op Go check her out)!

Let me tell you, I try not to go and visit KnitPicks website unless I know I am going to spend some money! LOL It is like Wal-mart you start picking up $4 here...$5 there and before you know it your are spending over $100!! Haha!

Now y'all know I don't knit on anything but circular needles! And normally I don't like the Options b/c all of that screwing and putting pins in them. I just love that my Denise needles are like tinker toys *click click*.

But did you see how sharp those wooden tips are?!? Normally wooden needles have a dull end on them.

And OOoooh the COLORS!! Love it! And it comes in the cutest case (unlike that ugly binder the metal ones come in)

I may have to break down and get the whole set, but then again I really like their "fixed" ones! And then I could just select the sizes I truly want b/c I don't use wooden needles as much since I am in luv with my Denise needles. I would definitely get the "fixed" needles in US1-3, and US 6-8 since I tend to use those sizes the most.

And did I mentioned they come in double points too! Just a little FYI because I am soooo anti-DPNs! LOL Magic Loop is the only way!! :oD You betta ask somebody!! Haha!!

I can’t seem to get enough of anything regarding knitting!

I normally don’t go for turquoise, but I am lovin’ the blend with the chocolate! So I had to get it! The colorway is called “Indian Stone” 100% Merino Wool and it is so soooooft! I can’t wait to knit these up around the winter time so my feet can be all nice and toasty!!

Y’all just wait I will be knitting up some socks soon!! :oD

There were a few other colors I liked but I held off on getting them. Maybe later, I would love to try their superwash wool.

I ordered one more colorway for my SP 10 so I can’t show that hank, but it is oh so cute!!! She is gonna love it! She knits lots of socks so I know it will be knitted up without any delay! :op

I also got 2 more goody items by ME!

To finish up Ms. Marigold I needed to get a US3 circular needle with a 32” cable. Debated about the Addi Naturas (and will still get some!) but saw these at a LYS in a county over from me and since I was in the area decided to go ahead and get them:

I have seen these needles before but never knitted with them and since they had the US3 in a 40” I just went for it. These needles are wooden and available in the Rosewood and Ebony (I got the Rosewood). Apparently, these needles are crafted in Germany of the remnants from the manufacture of the highest quality musical instruments.

I do have another pair of Rosewood circulars that my Noni bag has been sitting on over a year! They are a size 11 or 13 (can’t remember) and seemed a bit sticky…but I went for these b/c by touch they seemed smoother, so we will see how it goes.

Oops! I almost forgot that I also got my very 1st Rebecca magazine!

It is very hard to come by these mags at a LYS. If you order them online there are like $20 bucks! Whew!
I got an older version (#23) dirt cheap!! I was ecstatic and happened to look at the mag ad realized the entire issue is in Dutch!! HA! Thankfully, there is an English insert for us Americans that barely try to learn another language! :op

There were some great looks in this one so that is why I picked this issue over the other older ones.

Okay, I think I am good for a little while….."I can stop b/c I have had enough!” LOL

Now, there is nothing like knitting in public!

The other day, I took a brief “me” time moment before I go off on someone at work! (just a little stressful during this time of the year) And got my tootsies done :o)

I did clock a little bit of time on Ms. Marigold while I got my french pedi. Boy did that feel nice! (@ doing both – gettin' the hooves chopped down & being able to knit at the same time! LOL). Everyone kept looking at me (all 3 people in the spa) which were mainly the workers and one customer. But no one asked or inquired about the deep purple yarn slowly growing from 2 needles! :o)

So ironically I discovered on the same day that on Saturday, June 9th is a Worldwide Knit In Public Day. Who would have thought! Ha! Here is the website link speaking about it: http://wwkipday.com/

Last night I went and practiced some of my crocheting with a crochet group. Still slow, but at least I am improving on my chain and SC! :o) I will get my mojo soon!

While I was at Hobby Lobby I made a return on these other cheap US3 needles I did not want anymore (it truly is hard to revert back) and got these items for exchange:


YEP! Got my continuous round jump rings…in this case they call them toggle clasp set by 'The Jewelry Shop'. Aren’t the hearts just CUTE!

I also got some “eye” pins:

I am liking the eye pins, better than the regular hair pins too.

AND all 3 packages were 50% off automatically so I was a VERY happy camper since they cost more than the usual ones at AC Moore.

So I am now a HAPPY knitter! :o) Thanks again to everyone who commented on how my knitting world could be a better place with the stitch markers!

On Saturday I went on a brief field trip with some fellow knitters (Charlotte Purls) and we stopped by AC Moore and got these:
I am sure some of you are like "What in the World??" (WITW).

Yep I had no idea how to use them when I bought them, but I knew I needed them!

Because I have been dying to use them with these:

Those are beautiful beads that were on sale! Yeah! Jump rings and head pins to make my very own stitch markers! :oD

I was a little excited and started taking pics in my car! :op I have been dying to make personalized stitch markers in my fav colors!

Again, I had no idea what I was doing! LOL Of course I had to get the colors of red and purple! I couldn't just settle on one packet per color so I got two of each!

The color names of the beads are so cute too: Memory Beads Red, Peppermint Sticks, Blackberry Jam, and Grape Juice!

So during my wait for my car inspection on yesterday (y'all know it was the last day of the month! LOL) I made my 1st stitch marker! :o)

And came home yesterday to make 6 more!

Just different lighting on both since it is hard to pick up the purple.

And of course I had to make one that mixed the red and purple together! :o)

So one of my "forever on the needles" knit projects (and it really is just a scarf! LOL) had these as stitch markers (scrap yarn):

and they have now been replaced with these cuties! :o)

So I decided to just knit a few rows to give them a test drive....and.....they fell apart!!

All that excitement and hard work of twisting and turning wire with my fingertips getting tender, all for them to fall apart!

The jump rings have a small split in them (which I didn't like from the get go!) and I really wanted rings that were "solid" b/c I knew this would happen and be a problem!

Plus I didn't want the splits to snag some of my more delicate yarn.

But all I could find for "solid" rings with the toggles. I saw on the internet a pictorial of someone putting stitch markers together and he (yep you read it right!) used toggles but the "T" shapes were separate from the ring. *Sigh*

Can someone help me out on how I can get some solid jump rings?!?!?

This is imperative for me to have an enjoyable knitting experience!!! :op

My enthusiasm for now has been deflated :o(
