WWKIPD: Did U Do It??

World Wide Knit In Public Day 2009!

Did you do it this year?? :o)

We did it at Books-A-Million and had LOTS of fun with free snacks, every 1/2 hour door prizes and A/C Haha (it was a blazin' 92 degrees here! Whew!)!!!

    Wow, I can't believe how much the Purls has grown. Looks like you meet at a bookstore. It's always nice to hear from you Stacy. I'm doing well, still working 40 hrs at the Library.

    Ha! You didn't even come outside for any pics did you? Hee! It wasn't that bad in the shade! It was such a great turn out today. I was thrilled!

    Wow! Great pics, looks like a lot of fun was had knitting in public! Today I went to my lys for about 4 hours and sat and knit with some gals I hadn't seen in a while. Love the yarn you're using for your sock knitting project, too.

    it looks like you had a great time. i participated in the KIP in downtown chicago. we were supposed to meet in the park, but it rained most of the morning. so we took our KIP indoors. i'll post pictures tomorrow.

    YAY how Fun! i was out and WWKIPing today as well but...no camera besides my phone and that one isnt so great. But i did snag some pics of something funny.
    Looks like great fun and couldnt have done it in a better place! i love books and knitting!!

    Wow. I didn't, though I had my knitting with me... it didn't come out because once we were underway, I realized it was currently on 6 DPNs, which I had no intention of chasing around.

    Looks like you had a great time, though!

    Wow that looks like fun! I missed out on "offical" KIP actvities as I had a graduation party to go to out of town. I did knit a bit there, but everyone is used to my constant knitting so it wasn't really exciting! LOL

    Yes, outside at a park on the Potomac River. Met some nice new people! But it was very hot...

    Great idea to meet a Books a Million. do they always have free snacks or was that just to celebrate with the knitters?

    Fantastic photos and everyone was having a good time. I attended a WWKIP yesterday as well but was having too much fun to grab my camera and take pics.
